Call Us NowFinding the Source of the Leak Comes First
Water leaks can come from damaged pipes, ageing joints and fittings, or problems around bathrooms and other wet areas. The source is not always visible and may be underground, behind a wall, beneath a floor or inside a concealed plumbing connection.
We assess the signs of water damage, investigate the affected area and identify the likely source before deciding on the most appropriate repair.
How We Find & Repair Water Leaks
Assess
We review the visible signs, affected areas and plumbing system to understand where the water may be coming from.
Investigate
Suitable testing and leak detection methods are used where required to narrow down concealed or difficult-to-find leaks.
Locate
Once the likely source is identified, we determine the affected pipe, fitting or wet-area location requiring attention.
Repair
Depending on the cause, the solution may involve repairing, replacing or rerouting pipework or addressing the failed connection.
What Can Cause a Water Leak?
Pipework, Joints & Fittings Leaks
Water leaks can occur when pipes, joints, fittings, valves or connections deteriorate, corrode, loosen or become damaged over time.
These leaks may occur underground, inside walls or floors, or in exposed pipework, and can affect residential, strata and commercial properties.
Underground Copper Pipe Leak Repair
Investigated an underground water leak and located a damaged section of copper pipework. The affected section was exposed, removed and repaired before the water supply was tested to confirm there were no further leaks.
Underground Water Service Bypass
Excavated and exposed a deteriorated section of underground water pipework that was no longer suitable for direct repair. A new bypass was installed with new pipework and fittings to restore the water service, followed by pressure testing to confirm correct operation and no leaks.
Underground Burst Pipe
Investigated an underground water leak, located the damaged section of pipework and completed the required repair before testing the water supply.
External Water Ingress
Water can enter a property through roofs, window surrounds, external walls, deteriorated seals, joints or other openings in the building exterior.
The water may travel through ceilings or walls and appear some distance away from the original entry point.
Roof Tile Joint Repair
Investigated water dripping through the living room ceiling and identified deteriorated joints between the roof tiles as the source of water ingress. The affected joints were repaired and resealed to prevent further leakage.
Failed Valve Connection
Investigated a leaking valve connection, replaced the failed component and tested the surrounding pipework to confirm correct operation with no further leaks.
Under-Sink Connection Leak
Located a leaking connection beneath the sink, repaired the affected fitting and tested both the water supply and drainage connections before completion.
Internal Wet Area Leaks
Bathrooms, showers, laundries and other wet areas can develop leaks through deteriorated grout, failed seals, waste connections or waterproofing-related defects.
These issues can allow moisture to spread into surrounding walls, floors or ceilings and cause visible water damage over time.
Shower Regrouting & Leak Rectification
Investigated water damage around the bathroom and identified deteriorated grout within the shower area as the likely source of moisture penetration. The affected shower area was regrouted and resealed to help stop further water ingress and protect the surrounding wall finishes.
Bathroom Leak & Ceiling Mould Rectification
Water penetration from the bathroom above caused moisture damage and mould staining to the ceiling below. The deteriorated shower grout and sealed joints were repaired and resealed, and the affected ceiling area was cleaned and restored after the leak was rectified.
Bathroom Leak Detection
Carried out leak detection around the affected bathroom area after signs of moisture were identified along the wall and skirting. Moisture testing was used to assess the affected area and help identify the likely source of water ingress before repair works were carried out.
